Sponsor A Dancer

“My dreams were to be a dancer. At the age of 18, having won a place to do the first degree in ballet with the Laban School of Dance, I was thwarted by lack of funding. My aspiration came to an abrupt end. Back then, bursaries didn’t exist. I discovered Anna du Boisson’s classes at Pineapple as a struggling actress and the rest is history. As life has progressed, I have found myself in the fortunate position to be able to offer help to other young dancers with little means and big dreams. It gives me great pleasure to be able to have a lasting impact on a child’s life, seeing their talent being nurtured and watching their growth in confidence, personality and ability.
The Du Boisson Dance Foundation focuses on each and every child’s needs to bring out their personal best; it also provides the opportunity too for those children with disabilities where dance and movement can bring great joy. Not every child is destined to be a dancer but every child can dance…and dream!” Elizabeth
